Daniel E. Garces
Vice President of Acquisitions
Dan is a Vice President at the Company, focusing on acquisitions in the northern half of the U.S., including the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northwest, and Northern California. Dan has over twenty-four years of underwriting experience in commercial and automotive dealer lending. Prior to joining CARS in 2002, Dan was a commercial lender at LaSalle Bank in Chicago with a focus on providing credit to a wide array of financial institutions throughout the U.S. including: retail automobile finance, consumer finance, commercial finance, leasing and mortgage banking companies. Prior to LaSalle, Dan was a lender in the National Dealer Services Group at Comerica Bank in Chicago. He managed a portfolio of dealer group relationships and provided floor plan financing, capital loans, mortgage debt and other banking services to auto dealers throughout the Midwest. Dan is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago where he received a B.B.A. majoring in Finance with an Accounting concentration.

Dan is a Vice President at the Company, focusing on acquisitions in the Western U.S. Dan has over 30 years of experience in banking and 29 years dedicated to retail automotive. Prior to joining CARS, Dan managed a regional lending office for Comerica Bank in the National Dealer Services Department. Dan grew the portfolio from $50 million to over $1 billion in loans encompassing floor plan, real estate and acquisition financing. Dan has a BS from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Gabriel J. Robleto
Vice President of Acquisitions
Gabe is a Vice President at the Company, focusing on acquisitions in the southern half of the U.S., including the Southeast, Texas, and Southern California. He has been a member of the Real Estate team for twelve years and manages several dealer relationships, including a large public dealer group. He has experience in real estate and credit underwriting, dispositions, and work-out negotiation. Gabe is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with a degree in Commerce and concentrations in Finance and International Business. He is actively involved with recruiting at the University and as a guest speaker within McIntire’s real estate track.

Jacob C. Stanton
Jacob is an Acquisitions Manager at the Company, supporting acquisitions throughout the U.S. and Canada. He has experience in real estate and credit underwriting and has been a member of the Company’s real estate team for four years. Jacob serves as a member of the Ireland Advisory Council for the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies at the University of Notre Dame, where he received a B.B.A. with a double major in finance and economics and a certificate in international business from the Mendoza College of Business. Additionally, Jacob serves on the board of the Jubilee Initiative for Financial Inclusion, Inc. (JIFFI), a non-profit based in South Bend, IN.

Tamara C. Darvish
Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Tamara C. Darvish joined Capital Automotive in April 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer. Tamara has over thirty years of experience in retail automotive and banking experience. Prior to joining Capital Automotive, from 2015 to 2017, Tamara served as Chief Operating Office and Executive Vice President at Pentagon Federal (PenFed) Credit Union, the 3rd largest credit union in the United States. At PenFed, Tamara spearheaded efforts to grow assets by billions and was responsible for leading national branding, customer experience, and an newly created indirect lending operations among many other responsibilities. From 1984 to 2014, Tamara was President and Executive Vice President at DARCARS Automotive Group, where she grew the family to over $1 Billion in annual sales and over 30 auto dealerships, overseeing all aspects of the organization and leading a team consisting of over 2,000 employees. Tamara has been recognized by Washington Business Journal as “Woman Who Means Business” and named “100 Leading Women in North American Auto Industry” by Automotive News, to name a few honors. Tamara is a graduate of Northwood University where she received a BS in Business Administration and a Doctorate of Laws.

Jay M. Ferriero
President & Chief Executive Officer
Jay M. Ferriero joined Capital Automotive in February 1999 as the Company’s Director of Acquisitions. Mr. Ferriero has thirty-eight years of experience in commercial, automotive dealership and real estate finance. Prior to joining Capital Automotive, from 1994 to 1999, Mr. Ferriero served as a First Vice President Loan Group and National Accounts Manager at Comerica Incorporated, a leading financial institution serving the automotive retail industry. At Comerica, Mr. Ferriero was responsible for managing the auto dealer lending offices in Florida and Illinois, and had nationwide responsibilities for managing multi-bank credit facilities for some of the largest auto consolidators. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Ferriero was Senior Vice President and Senior Lending Officer at Comerica Bank & Trust, overseeing all lending activities. Since 1980 and prior to 1991, Mr. Ferriero’s experiences included managing commercial loan processing operations, restructuring problem loans, and originating commercial and auto dealership loans. Mr. Ferriero serves as a member of the Business Advisory Council for the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, where he is a graduate with degrees in Finance and Sociology.
